I had a great time taking care of Alex without a mommy or daddy around. He was so good out of 4 days he did not "act out" even once. Of course I guess it helped that mommy had drilled into him that he needed to be good while they were gone. Plus they would bring him back a surprise if he was good. Yes he got his surprise, it is a Hot Wheels CD player/radio. He loves his music. Usually my days are just endless, rambling, no direction kind of days but with Alex the days flew by and there was a beginning and end to them. I had a purpose everyday.
Clay's truck has been broke down for about 3 months now and he has been driving my little car back and forth to work. He was finally able to figure out the problem and fix it. It cost about $40.00. There have been so many times we've needed to go get something but you really need a truck. It is good to have that convenience back. Also I am proud of myself. Our fridge stopped working and it is only 4 yrs old. Well with some internet sleuthing I was able to figure out what was wrong with it and look on line and find the part and ordered it and Clay installed it, it cost us about $30.
Drew and Frances got back safe and sound. I'm so glad they had a chance to get away. I can't wait to do the same for Angela and Corey.
LuLu is at the vet right now. She is getting spayed today and will be home tonight. She weighs 44 pds now. She is shedding like crazy, hopefully it is a phase but the short hair makes it tolerable.
