Spring has been giving us a preview around here. The trees are starting to bud out and as you can see the flower bulbs that are planted all over the front yard have started blooming. The yellow daffodils were already here from the previous owner but the bulbs that are sprouting around the tree are all mine that we put in last summer. I plan on putting bricks around all the flower beds that are all over the place. It will be easier to mow and to know where things are planted in the winter. We received 9 of our trees yesterday that we ordered this past winter. More is coming but we have been outside preparing the ground to plant them tomorrow.

MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO

I got a phone call tonight from Bella telling me to look at her blog. On it was funny faces she made with her hair all in curls. Alex came in my room and saw the pictures and talked with Bella for a few minutes, actually more like they talked AT each other :) but they enjoyed it. So after we got off the phone Alex tried to imitate Bella's faces and I took them and then put them side by side on here. So cute. I love my grandbabies sooooo much.

Here you can see Alex looking side ways at the computer to imitate Bella.

WEATHER, CAMPING AND HENRY

We have been having the perfect weather. It is up in the 70's every day and mid 50's at night. It is the kind of weather that people get anxious and start putting their garden in then there will be a hard frost and kills all their hard work. Right now we are getting ready to put in our hardy crops, that do better in the cold weather.

Drew and Frances have bought a lot of camping equipment and right now they, Alex and Henry are camping out in their tent.

Clay grew up with "Henry" a stuffed dog. It had originally belonged to his younger sister who died from a kidney disease. But then we made sure that we had "Henry" dogs around as our children were growing up. Well this past Oct. Angela sent Alex a small stuffed Henry and he cannot sleep without him. Every night Frances reads him a story at bedtime and the other night after Alex had already had his bedtime story and lights out and all tucked in we overheard him "reading" a night time story to Henry. He can't sleep without his Henry.

FEELS LIKE SPRING

We have been having 70 degree weather pretty regular. It is so nice outside, a little breeze and warm sunshine. Been thinking about how I can't wait to have a fresh tomato off the vine really soon. The trees have all started budding out and soon everything will be green again. These are pictures of Alex waiting for his daddy to get home from work.
Here Alex is encouraging his mommy to slide down. "come on mom"

It seems that he is going to have naturally wavy hair. I like his hair short, long and in between. With his hair like this he is SO a carbon copy of Drew at his age.
