The End For Now

Well I've decided that I will not be writing in my blog for now. It has been a nice way to help others to know what is going on here and I love sharing our wonderful farm life with everyone but will be taking a break and am not sure I will use this blog anymore at all. All my family and friends know my email and other private information and I look forward to hearing from everyone. Truthfully the ones that read my blog are ones that I'm in touch with on a regular basis so it just seems rather redundant. Maybe I will start writing again some day but for now I will just send my pics and thoughts to my family and friends personally. I don't know maybe it seems that depending on my family and friends to only hear from me by an impersonal blog just doesn't seem right or very caring. So I've decided that instead I should be giving people that mean so much to me my personal and undivided attention. I love all you guys and will write to you soon and can't wait to hear from you.
Love,
Mom/Nana/Connie

P.S. Hope everyone has the best of the New Year as I know that mine will be. Stay Strong.

He Has Changed So Much

Alex is so smart and keenly aware of things that should be out of his realm. Here are some great pictures of him playing an online game that he thinks is hilarious.

Wow Weather

We have had an incredible last 3 days. Sat. & Sun. in the low 70's in the daytime and today it is 67 degrees outside right now. It is a nice break after the cold and the cold is suppose to return by the end of the week. Wonderful weather here. It seems never too much of one thing for too long.

Camping Out On The Farm

It is unseasonably warm so Drew went out and found a permanent camping site here on the farm. It is between our house and where Drew and Frances are going to build their house. We are going to build a permanent fire pit and some benches also it will be a great place to picnic. It will be a really nice place to get away from the house and just be in the woods. Alex thinks camping is so fun.

Build A Bear (or a dog in this case)

New Play Area At The Mall

I love Springfield and Missouri as a whole. It is a very family orientated state. The bottom line isn't always the mighty dollar, but people. The Battlefield Mall is a good example. Instead of hard wooden benches everywhere to sit on, there are big overstuffed chairs and the New Play Area a month ago was filled with those "ride on" toys that you had to pump quarters into, instead they pulled them all out and put in this wonderful area for parents to rest and children to play. Hanging out at the mall here doesn't mean just teenagers, it's families that they encourage to "hang out." Big Kudos to Battlefield Mall.

The New Year

Really, really cold here. I do wish that it snowed more but this just isn't the region for lots of snow. We shot off some fireworks last night. It was so cold and windy though. I found a new chicken and rice recipe and Clay made it tonight and it was SOO good. He baked more Chewy Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies all afternoon. Everyone at his work loves them so he made extra and also got a new cookie recipe from work, "chocolate covered cherry cookies" will let you know when we check them out. I have lost just over 70 pds this year and also 11 inches from around my waist. I still have more to lose this next year and have a goal of being at the weight that I want this time next year. I've lost so much more this year, things that break my heart to know and realize, things that should not have been lost but have been. Well enough for now. I will take new pictures and get them posted soon. Alex and Frances have both had terrible colds this past week and have just felt miserible. They are on the mend and hopefully will be all better soon.
