SIMPLE VIEW OF LIFE

We were at McDonalds and they have 3 horse saddles as seats at a bar. John and Bella love to climb on them, almost as good as a play area.

Well Bella climbs up on her saddle and very loudly (and the saddles are right in the middle of the eating area) says, "I'm a big girl and John's a big boy because he can stand up when he pees.

One of the things that fascinate John and Bella are the sounds at night here on the farm. So many crickets chirping, frogs croaking, owls hooting all the sound then add the fireflies and every night they are amazed. John has gotten into a habit of every night before he goes to bed he makes Pappy take him out on the back deck and sit and "see the night." I LOVE it.

DINNER FROM THE GARDEN

Get it? Ears of corn:)
Bella doesn't like her corn, "off the top, leave it on cause I like to eat it on" then she preceded to demonstrate how to eat it on the cob. Funny girl she is, she makes me laugh all the time. Will also be having fried green tomatoes tonight. John and Bella love them.

BELLA'S QUOTE

John and Bella were discussing driving, how boys and girls can drive, not just boys.

Bella says: "when John and I get big we're going to drive mommy around"

INCREDIBLE IMAGINATIONS

All of them have gotten pretty good at swinging themselves. Of course they prefer to be pushed really high by someone else.
Sorting through pebbles. Have to get new container for them. We have little pebbles instead of sand.
At first none of them could pull the others around, too heavy and bumpy ground. After only a few days they can all pull all of the others around. They think it is a great adventure. especially in the woods part of our front land.

John wants to know how is he suppose to look at the camera when the sun is in his eyes:)

Why on earth would they want to play on a big expensive fort playset after they found this little climber from when Alex was little?

COREY'S BIRTHDAY

The headdresses are a school project of Bella's and her picture is of a birthday cake with candles and apparently Corey is only 3 this year:) and also there is a little party hat on the left. John drew his picture all on his own and then he wrote daddy on the bottom.

Corey is very blessed. His children love him so much and he is thought of often and especially today.

ANOTHER GENERATION MADE

I made a big batch of Fried Green Tomatoes. Bella and John LOVE them. It is a great recipe that I use. Every bite that Bella took, she would go, YUMMM, every bite was YUMMM.

I really like trying new recipes. It is my new thing.

WORKING ON THE FARM

Feeding old vegetables to the geese, turkeys & chickens
(we just call them all chicks)

In our corn patch, John prefers to show off his zucchini on his head. In a couple of weeks they will pick corn off the stalks and then cook and eat. They think that is so cool.

They ate broccoli ( Bella says, block-lee) and green peppers right off the vine. They also pulled up carrots but there was too much dirt on them to eat raw.

Resting in the garden, Bella contemplating that blade of grass and John just being John.

Making sure the chicks only eat the bugs in the garden and not the food. Bella thinks it is really gross that the they eat bugs:)

They have no fear of the big chicks. They act like they have always been here.

All the morning chores done.

PLAYTIME AT THE FARM

I LOVE HAVING THEM HERE.

SO MANY BLESSINGS

I have many things to be thankful for. During this summer I was able to see Erin and visit with Angela and her family for quite awhile. I now have the kids back here with me for another visit. Also all the pictures I have posted on the web I have used a digital camera that Angela gave to me a few years ago. It was a camera that had been given to her and when she bought a new one she gave me her old one. There are times that it doesn't work so well but without it there would be no pictures for the entire lives of my grandbabies. Well when I went to unpack John and Bella's things lying in the suitcase was Angela's "old" digital camera. She is buying herself a new one and I get her old one. I was so surprised and happy. It is such an upgrade to what I have been using so I can now look forward to many more years of picture taking. I have such wonderful children for so many reasons. Their love for me makes my life a really good thing.

2nd VISIT FOR THE YEAR

We are lucky enough to have John and Bella back visiting for awhile. Angela is busy making another incredible grandbaby for me:)

They sure had a busy day. They got to ride on 2 different planes with their daddy coming to Nana and Pappy's. We picked them up at the airport and then went to White Castle for burgers. I asked Bella why is mommy sick, and for all of White Castle to hear she announces, "mommy's pregnant, again" and she stressed the word again. It was really cute and made me laugh.

We then drove awhile longer and stopped at a super walmart to get pappy something to swim in. We walked all over walmart and by the time we got back in the van Bella couldn't keep her eyes open. They both fell asleep and had to be woke up at the hotel. We had a free night coming from a promotion that Holiday Inn had and it was suppose to be just a regular room but we asked and they upgraded us to a Kid's Suite. The kids loved it and was sooooo excited. According to them their bed had an upstairs and a downstairs.

Bella decided she was going to sleep "upstairs"
Luckily as you can see the beds were not so tall, John is not very tall and they weren't much taller than him so as to not be any real danger.
They loved that they could touch the ceiling.

Even though it looks it Bella really wasn't jumping on the bed. Just caught her in a weird pose.
John could NOT climb up and down the ladder enough, over and over. Not just to the top of the ladder but onto the bed all the way to the pillow and then back down and to our bed then back to the ladder again.

Getting a ride down to the pool.

Nana already in the pool trying to take pictures. Not easy considering they had more important things to do then posing for pictures.

OH NO, they had to hurry and get away fast because the "underwater Pappy Monster" was coming to get them.

At first Bella was going to sleep "upstairs" then a couple of hours later John was going to sleep "upstairs" and as you can see they both slept, "downstairs"

This morning I had to turn on their lights and that didn't wake them up, we talked loud and that didn't wake them, turned on their TV in their room right next to their bed and only then after a few minutes did they wake up. They were so tired from their adventure yesterday.

At Nana and Pappy's playing with Alex.
